Rajkumar Prashad: I find Baba Ramdev funny
He has already stolen the limelight from the veteran comedians with his funny antics as a prominent baba on the latest comedy show on the block - Gangs of Hasseepur. Donning the role of one of the most talked about babas in our country, Rajkumar Prashad, who hails from Jamshedpur, feels that he has finally arrived on the scene.
“I started off as a mimicry artist and performed widely across Jharkhand and in neighboring states.
It took a lot of time and struggle for me to get where I’m today. But I think after all cheers I’m getting, it was worth it,” says Rajkumar.
An excellent mimicry artiste, Rajkumar was bitten by the comedy bug in his childhood itself.

“I used to mimic the dialogue deliveries of Amitabh Bachchan ji, Suniel Shetty and others in school. When people started liking my performances and I started getting offers to perform at events. Since I knew that study is not my cup of tea, I took comedy full time. My family was hesitant at first but now that I have finally bagged a show, they are happy for me,” the comedian tells us.
Since he chose Ramdev out of the plethora of babas we have, we asked him if there was particular reason behind it.

“Ramdev has got this quirky style, which I find very interesting. My aim is to entertain people and not malign the name of someone unnecessarily. I have not met him in person though but I hope to see him soon enough,” says Rajkumar.
